Teekay LNG Partners L.P. (NYSE: TGP) and EXMAR NV have finalized a pivotal agreement to enhance their operational capabilities in the liquefied natural gas sector. Under this deal, Teekay will secure a 50% stake in two of EXMAR’s notable LNG carriers, namely EXCELSIOR, a 2005-built LNGRV, and EXCALIBUR, a conventional LNG vessel from 2002. The economic date for this transaction is set for September 1, 2010.
