Albanian Stowaways Discovered in Generator Room of 'Fast Jef' During Kiel Canal Passage
On September 3, 2021, three Albanian stowaways were discovered hiding in the generator room of the 'Fast Jef' while the vessel was navigating through the Kiel Canal. The discovery prompted immediate action, and the stowaways were subsequently disembarked at Kiel-Holtenau. Among the trio, one individual was found to possess a biometric passport, whereas the other two faced legal scrutiny for unauthorized entry into Germany and were taken into custody in Kiel. Initial investigations suggest that the three may have boarded the ship in Antwerp. Following the incident, the 'Fast Jef' continued its voyage to Naestved.
