Strong winds, reaching speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour, led to an allision with the pier and dock at the port of Casamicciola during its departure for Pozzuoli. The crew exhibited commendable skill in maneuvering the vessel, managing to reverse the ferry after the impact.
