On June 1, 2025, the captain of the high-speed vessel 'Flying Dolphin Athina' reported a water leak in the starboard main engine cover shortly after successfully docking at Piraeus Port. The ferry had just completed its route from the islands of Agistri and Aegina when the issue was detected. In response to this situation, the Argosaronic Gulf Port Watch of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus promptly prohibited the hydrofoil's departure to ensure safety. Following the submission of a maintenance certificate from the relevant classification society, the vessel was cleared to resume its normal operations and continue its scheduled sailings, reaffirming the efficient handling of marine incidents.

The incident occurred shortly after the vessel departed from the bustling port of Piraeus, where it was en route to the beautiful islands of Aegina and Agistri. Following the engine malfunction in the port side main engine, the 1st Port Guard of Argosaronicos, under the Central Port Authority of Piraeus, promptly intervened by halting the hydrofoil's journey. The vessel will remain at the port until repairs are completed and a certificate of seaworthiness is obtained from the relevant classification society. Meanwhile, the 67 passengers aboard were assisted and redirected to their destinations by the company, ensuring minimal disruption to their travel plans.

On the morning of November 3, a significant incident occurred involving the hydrofoil 'Flying Dolphin Athina' as it approached the Port of Aegina. The vessel's captain reported a malfunction in the starboard axial propulsion system. Operating on a regular route from Piraeus to Aegina and Agistri, the ship managed to safely dock at Aegina with 31 passengers and a crew of six aboard. In response to the incident, the Port Authority of Aegina temporarily halted the hydrofoil's departure. However, after the crew provided a repair certificate from the overseeing classification society, the vessel was authorized to make a one-time trip to the Port of Perama without any cargo or passengers for necessary repairs.
