On February 3, 2022, at 11:15 p.m., the cargo vessel 'Federal Swift' made its arrival at the bustling port of Rauma, Finland. During its voyage from Liverpool, a stowaway was uncovered by the crew while the ship was still navigating waters. The individual had managed to conceal himself in the ship's engine room and was discovered shortly after the vessel departed from Liverpool on January 27. Following its docking, Finnish authorities promptly apprehended the stowaway. Prior to reaching Finland, the ship's master had informed Danish authorities of the discovery; however, since the 'Federal Swift' merely refueled and restocked supplies in Danish waters without formally docking, no further action was taken in Denmark. The stowaway had a previous entry denial into the Schengen area and is now under suspicion of committing a national border violation.
