In the early hours of January 22, 2012, at precisely 2:10 AM, the cargo vessel "Federal Yukon" experienced a grounding incident while departing from the Oslebshausen lock on the Weser River at kilometer 9.5. The ship, which was on a voyage from the industrial port of Bremen to Ravenna, was loaded with steel cargo when it allided with nearby construction. After navigating out of the lock with the aid of two tugs, the vessel unfortunately became stuck. Thankfully, the "Federal Yukon" was later freed and subsequently docked at Osterort IV in Bremen to undergo necessary surveys. By 10:40 PM that same evening, the vessel received clearance to resume its journey and was sailing along the Dutch coast by the morning of January 23.
