The situation resulted in the vessel running aground in shallow waters. In response to the incident, the crew conducted deballasting procedures on both the port and starboard sides of the ship in an effort to refloat the vessel. The Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) Lubang, while patrolling the area, noticed the 'Felicity 8' at anchor and confirmed its grounded status. A subsequent inspection revealed no signs of an oil spill, although it was noted that the bow of the vessel was firmly grounded. Efforts for assistance were coordinated with the captain of the m/v 'Banton Pearl' and the local fishing banca 'Orene' for towing operations to deeper waters; however, these attempts did not succeed.
