On December 3, 2015, passengers aboard the 'Finnøy' experienced a shocking incident when a car caught fire while the ferry was traveling from Oanes to Lauvvik shortly before 11 a.m. At the time of the incident, the ferry was transporting around 30 vehicles. The sudden eruption of flames and thick smoke, coupled with a strong diesel odor, alarmed both travelers and crew alike. Quick-thinking passengers responded immediately; one individual even broke the safety glass to access a fire extinguisher. The dedicated ferry crew swiftly arrived on the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze. As a result of the fire, the ferry experienced a 15-minute delay, while the cause of the incident remains undetermined.

On July 12, 2015, the ferry "Finnøy" experienced an unsettling incident while preparing to dock at Oanes, leading to a significant disruption in service. The liferafts aboard the ferry suddenly detached and inflated, necessitating the suspension of operations between Lauvvik and Oanes for over six hours. As a result of the unexpected rafts ending up in the water, Høgsfjord traffic was halted until alternative liferafts could be secured. Ferry services finally resumed at 5 p.m. after extensive investigations were launched to determine the cause of the malfunction.
