Norwegian offshore vessel operator DOF has recently landed several significant contracts from undisclosed clients, further enhancing its portfolio. The construction support vessel, Skandi Neptune, has begun its operational duties in Guyana, where it is engaged in survey work. Additionally, a second operational campaign is scheduled for later this year, focusing on field development construction support activities. In an exciting expansion of its capabilities, DOF has also secured contracts for its platform supply vessels, including Skandi Foula and Skandi Buchan, which will join Skandi Neptune in the second quarter of this year. These vessels are tasked with transporting pipe and subsea hardware to key installation vessels. DOF anticipates that these contracts will amount to roughly 650 vessel days, including options, signaling a positive trend in their operational activity.

The offshore support vessel "Skandi Foula" is set to enter a local dry dock for thorough inspections and potential repairs after it experienced a significant fuel leak in Aberdeen Harbour. On September 23, 2011, approximately 1,000 liters of fuel oil spilled from the vessel, prompting immediate action to secure the affected area. Recovery efforts successfully retrieved about 500 liters of the spilled fuel, but a light sheen persisted on the water's surface. Fortunately, there have been no reports of oil contamination outside the Torry dock within the River Dee. Relevant marine authorities, including the harbour master, have been duly notified to ensure proper management of the situation.
