Investigation Reveals Wastewater Violations Aboard 'Paramar'
On December 21, 2014, water police in Stralsund conducted an inspection of the vessel 'Paramar' and discovered significant violations regarding its wastewater management system. The investigation revealed that the ship's wastewater treatment plant had been operating without the necessary disinfection process. Authorities found that the container intended for disinfectant was completely dry and had deteriorated. It was confirmed that untreated wastewater had been released into the Baltic Sea. Preliminary reports indicated that 'Gamazyme BTC' was purportedly used as the disinfectant. Further examination showed that chlorine levels had not been monitored or replenished since December 8. In response to these violations, the Stralsund prosecutor mandated a security deposit of 800 Euros.
