Working Conditions Aboard the Forest-Venus

On July 21, 2013, a compelling maritime rescue unfolded when the cargo vessel 'Forest Venus' came to the aid of a family of five stranded in the vast Pacific Ocean. The ship, which had set sail from Hachinohe in Aomori Prefecture on July 7, was on its way to San Antonio, Chile. On July 20, the U.S. Coast Guard stationed in Hawaii reached out to the vessel, reporting that a family's boat had encountered mechanical failure and was adrift. In a swift response, the 'Forest Venus' altered its course and arrived on the scene early the next morning, around 8:10 a.m., successfully rescuing the entire family, including a child and an infant. Fortunately, all rescued individuals were in good health. The 'Forest Venus' continued its journey and safely docked in San Antonio on August 4, where the relieved family disembarked to reunite once again on solid ground.
