In a tragic incident, the ferry "Forza" struck a sperm whale during its regular service between Palma de Mallorca and Valencia. The horrific discovery of the deceased cetacean was made on April 27, 2019, just after the ship docked at the Poniente Quay in the Port of Valencia at 7:45 PM. Port workers were astonished to find the massive whale attached to the ferry's bow, completely unbeknownst to the crew. As emergency responders sprang into action, Port police attempted to rescue the stranded whale. However, by the time they arrived, it had already sunk beneath the waters of the port.
