Ocean Diamond Arrested in Chittagong

On July 16, 2019, the local High Court ordered the detention of the 'Ocean Diamond' at the outer anchorage of the Chittagong port. The vessel, carrying a substantial 25,604 tonnes of urea, was en route to fulfill an order from Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corp. for urea imported from the Middle East. However, following a resolution in the legal matter, the 'Ocean Diamond' was granted permission to resume operations and successfully completed the offloading of its cargo on July 28.
