On May 11, 2022, the 'Gas Grouper' was navigating the vast expanse of the North Atlantic when an urgent medical situation arose. The vessel, which was making its way from Jorf Lasfar, requested immediate assistance for a crew member suffering from serious respiratory issues. In response, the CCS Las Palmas of Salvamento Marítimo promptly deployed the SAr helicopter Helimer 201. After refueling in Arrecife, the helicopter executed a daring hoist operation to retrieve the ailing crew member from a location situated 118 miles from Lanzarote, ensuring the patient received the necessary medical care in a timely manner.

On August 24, 2014, at 4:30 PM, the vessel 'Gas Grouper' encountered an unexpected hold-up at the port of Antwerp due to reports of a gas cloud in the vicinity. Despite the gas cloud not being related to the outbound ship, safety protocols dictated that the crew and workers at quay 751 of BASF be evacuated for their protection. By approximately 5 PM, the situation was deemed safe, allowing the 'Gas Grouper' to continue its journey to Yuzhny and navigate towards the Zandvliet lock.
