Genco Shipping and Trading has proudly announced the acquisition of the 'Genco Brittany', a Supramax vessel built in 2010. This delivery marks the eleventh addition to the company's fleet from a pact established on June 25, 2010, wherein Genco committed to purchase 13 Supramax vessels from Setaf, a subsidiary completely owned by Bourbon. In a strategic move, Genco Shipping has also finalized a time charter agreement for the 'Genco Brittany' with Oldendorff for a term spanning from 2.5 to 5.5 months, set at a daily rate of $21,000, excluding a 5 percent brokerage fee for third parties. The charter is anticipated to commence around September 25, 2010, pending the finalization of necessary documentation.
