Working Conditions Aboard the Glutra

On the evening of November 8, 2018, the ferry "Glutra," which operates the Flakk - Rørvik route, became stranded at the ferry dock in Flakk due to a significant power outage. The power failure rendered the lifting bridge inoperable, preventing the vessel from departing. As a result, the ferry remained secured at the dock until power was restored. Passengers with vehicles onboard had to disembark and reverse their cars back onto the quay, highlighting the disruption caused by the unforeseen electrical issue.

On October 3, 2018, the ferry operations between Flakk and Rørvik faced an unexpected halt as the 'GLutra' experienced technical difficulties. The 'Korsfjord', typically assigned to this route, was scheduled for refueling on the same day, which prompted the 'GLutra' to step in. However, this temporary replacement vessel encountered an electrical failure while docked in Trondheim, leading to delays in service. To address the issue, technicians were dispatched to diagnose the problem. Fortunately, by 2 p.m., the 'Korsfjord' was able to resume its regular route, reinstating service for passengers traveling between these two points.

On November 25, 2015, the ferry 'Glutra' encountered technical difficulties and was temporarily taken out of service in Flakk. This unexpected situation left the 'Korsfjord' as the sole ferry available for the route between Flakk and Rørvik, operating only during the morning hours starting at 6 a.m. In response to the downtime, efforts were initiated to secure a replacement ferry. By midday, the 'Glutra' underwent trials following necessary repairs, marking a hopeful step towards restoring its operational capacity.
