Otto Marine Finalizes $50 Million Sale and Leaseback Agreement for Otto Explorer 3
In a strategic move to enhance its financial position, Otto Marine Limited, headquartered in Singapore, has confirmed the sale of its Multi-purpose Field Support and ROV Support Vessel, known as the "Otto Explorer 3," to RY Offshore Limited. The transaction, valued at nearly US$50 million, includes a leaseback agreement that allows Otto's subsidiary, Go Marine Group, to continue operating the vessel. Currently under construction at Otto's shipyard in Batam, the Otto Explorer 3 has already generated a cash influx with RY Offshore making an initial deposit of US$1 million. Notably, RY Offshore is partially owned (29%) by Otto Marine's chairman, Yaw Chee Siew. This agreement marks a significant development for Otto Marine as it aligns with the company's ongoing efforts to optimize asset utilization and strengthen its operational capabilities. [02/04/13]
