The 'Gozde Bayraktar' recently underwent crucial repairs in Tuzla, where a comprehensive set of spare parts for its main engine shaft unit was supplied and expertly installed. This process was meticulously overseen by technical teams stationed onshore, alongside engineers from the manufacturer to ensure optimal performance. Following successful sea trials, the vessel departed from Tuzla on December 11, 2018, marking the completion of its necessary maintenance.

On August 4, 2018, the vessel 'Gozde Bayraktar' experienced a significant engine malfunction while docked at Poti, Georgia. In response to the crisis, the Turkish tugboat 'Marintug I' (MMSI: 271010074) was dispatched to tow 'Gozde Bayraktar' to safety. Once the vessel entered the iconic Bosphorus Strait, a Coastal Safety tug joined the operation to ensure safe passage and manage maritime traffic. After a careful tow through the strait, 'Gozde Bayraktar' successfully reached Tuzla Shipyard on August 13 at 1:30 p.m., where it will undergo necessary repairs.
