Grampian-Dynamic Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

In a significant leap forward for maritime safety, the family-owned company Craig Group has officially launched two state-of-the-art emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRVs). This initiative is part of a broader £70 million investment aimed at upgrading their fleet, announced earlier this year. Based in Aberdeen, Craig Group has introduced these new D-class IMT 950 vessels, named Grampian Dynamic and Grampian Dynasty, reinforcing their commitment to providing comprehensive maritime services. These advanced ERRVs are part of a larger fleet enhancement strategy that includes six new vessels expected to enter service between 2014 and 2016. Notably, the construction of Grampian Dynamic and Grampian Dynasty took place at the renowned Balenciaga Shipyard in Northern Spain. Following their delivery, these vessels have already secured contracts with operators in the North Sea, signaling a strong demand for their capabilities. Douglas Craig, the Chairman and Managing Director of Craig Group, emphasized the significance of this investment, highlighting its role in supporting clients, employees, and the marine industry at large. 'These new vessels not only incorporate cutting-edge technology but also prioritize unparalleled safety standards,' said Craig. Looking ahead, Craig Group plans to add two more D-class vessels—Grampian Deliverance and Grampian Devotion—operated by North Star Shipping, set to launch in 2015. The fleet expansion will culminate in early 2016 with the addition of two F-class IMT 958 multi-role ERRVs, completing this ambitious investment plan.
