The request for assistance was promptly responded to by the Coordination Centre of Salvamento Marítimo in Valencia, which dispatched the SAR helicopter Helimer 202. The injured engineer was successfully hoisted from the vessel and transported to the Valencia hospital's helipad to receive immediate medical care.
