Detention of the Great Victory in Tuapse
On May 18, 2026, the vessel 'Great Victory' found itself detained in the port of Tuapse due to two significant deficiencies that warranted immediate attention. The issues identified were categorized as serious, resulting in the ship's detention. The deficiencies included concerns related to the propulsion and auxiliary machinery (IMO 13101), specifically the main propulsion engine, which fell outside the responsibility of the Recognized Organization (RO). Additionally, there were shortcomings associated with the International Safety Management (ISM) code (IMO 15150), again not attributed to the RO. Fortunately, after necessary rectifications, the 'Great Victory' was released from detention just two days later, on May 20, 2026.
