According to a recent press release, Wärtsilä is proud to deliver its inaugural Wärtsilä 31 engine retrofit for Gardar, which is owned by Norwegian company Gardar AS and was originally built in 1998. Once the retrofit is completed, estimates indicate that the vessel will achieve a remarkable annual reduction of 200,000 litres in fuel consumption, along with a significant decrease of over 88 tonnes in NOx emissions.
