BW Seine En Route to Assist Fuel Transfer from Genmar Companion
On December 16, the Genmar Companion encountered issues when it developed a crack in its upper deck, resulting in its anchorage at the entrance of Belfast Lough. According to a representative from the Coastguard, the BW Seine is currently navigating through the North Sea and is expected to arrive at the Genmar Companion within two days. Due to the size of the Genmar Companion, which carries 54,304 tonnes of oil, Belfast Harbour is unable to accommodate the vessel, necessitating a cargo transfer managed by Fendercare Marine in the lough.
