Navig8 Chemical Tankers Inc., a prominent player in the global chemical transportation sector, has proudly accepted the delivery of its inaugural 49,000 DWT IMO2 Interline-coated chemical tanker, the NAVIG8 TURQUOISE. This significant milestone was achieved through collaboration with STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The delivery of the NAVIG8 TURQUOISE marks the first of many vessels to be delivered under the strategic sale and leaseback agreement with Ocean Yield ASA, a partnership first announced on April 1, 2015. Once the NAVIG8 TURQUOISE was officially handed over by STX, it was subsequently transferred to Ocean Yield as per the Sale MOA, before being returned to Navig8 under a bareboat charter arrangement. This delivery not only enhances Navig8's fleet but underscores its commitment to expanding its capabilities in the chemical tanker market.
