On November 29, 2011, an urgent maritime situation unfolded as the vessel 'Hagland Borg' experienced a breakdown approximately 4.5 miles WSW of Kvassheim fire around 12:45 p.m. The tug 'Fortuna' quickly responded, arriving on scene to assist by taking the 'Hagland Borg' into tow. By 1:00 p.m., both vessels were making progress northward with a speed ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 knots, escalating to 3 to 3.5 knots within the next half hour. By 2:30 p.m., the 'Hagland Borg' was reported to be 6.4 miles away from Kvassheim. As evening approached, the lifeboat 'Peter Henry von Koss' arrived at 7:20 p.m., connecting with the 'Hagland Borg' shortly after at 7:50 p.m. Meanwhile, the tug 'BB Coaster' was also making its way towards the stranded vessel. Ultimately, by 8:50 p.m., the 'Hagland Borg' was officially in tow, and the following morning, on November 30, 2011, the ship successfully moored in Mekjarvik at 3:30 a.m.
