A massive search and rescue (SAR) mission was initiated off the coast of Norway following the disappearance of a 20-year-old crew member from the vessel 'Comabar,' which occurred on July 8, 2015. The operation took place approximately six miles south of Songvår in Søgne and extended to the waters south of Oksøy in Kristiansand. After a thorough search, authorities concluded their efforts at 9 p.m. the same day, given the realization that the possibility of finding the missing man alive had diminished significantly. Participating in the SAR operation were Sea King helicopters from Sola and Rygge, alongside five lifeboats from the ports of Mandal, Kristiansand, and Arendal.
