On August 23, 2019, the 'Hanse Explorer', carrying a crew of 26, encountered a grounding incident in Admiralty Inlet, located approximately 11 miles south-southeast of Peter Richards Island, Nunavut. Fortunately, the ship was successfully refloated the same day and continued its journey to Arctic Bay without further complications.
