On July 18, 2016, a maritime incident unfolded in Kyllini when the ferry 'Mare di Levante' (IMO: 8405191), carrying 660 passengers and 37 crew members, collided with the vessel 'Harmony G' at the port. Fortunately, the 'Harmony G' was unoccupied at the time of the incident. Following the collision, the 'Mare di Levante' was permitted to proceed to its destination, the port of Zakynthos. Meanwhile, the 'Harmony G' sustained significant damages to its port side foreship and the starboard side above the waterline, necessitating a halt to its operations until a thorough inspection and necessary repairs could be conducted.
