World Fuel Services Corporation (WFS) [NYSE:INT] has successfully executed the arrest of a vessel in Norfolk, Virginia, on April 1, due to an outstanding bunker payment totaling $713,355.31, according to court filings in the Eastern District of Virginia. The legal documents reveal that WFS provided approximately 1,099 metric tonnes (mt) of fuel oil and 20 mt of marine gas oil to the bulk carrier Hebei Shijiazhuang on or about October 29, 2012, at the port of Khor Fakkan in the United Arab Emirates. The Hebei Shijiazhuang, a 93,663 deadweight tonne (dwt) vessel built in 2011, is owned by Hebei Price Shipping Company Limited (HPSCO) and is managed by Hebei Ocean Shipping Company Limited (HOSCO), both located in mainland China. At the time of the fuel supply, the bulk carrier was reportedly chartered to Tramp Maritime Enterprises Ltd. (Tramp Maritime). The vessel was allowed to leave custody on April 11.
