Animal welfare organizations, including Compassion in World Farming and VIER PFOTEN International, are raising urgent concerns regarding the well-being of 4,000 sheep and 400 cows currently aboard the livestock carrier 'Barhom.' The animals were loaded onto the vessel on February 5, 2012, in Braila. However, due to icy conditions on the Danube River, the ship was immobilized, delaying its departure. It was not until March 9 that the 'Barhom' finally set sail towards Tarabulus, Libya, leaving advocates worried about the conditions faced by the animals during this extended period of confinement.
