Tragic Incident Claims Life of Crew Member Aboard Alma
On November 22, 2019, at 9:10 PM, a tragic accident occurred aboard the 'Alma' while it was navigating the rough waters of the Celtic Sea, approximately 150 miles west of Brest. The vessel’s crew contacted CROSS Corsen, seeking urgent medical assistance for a 57-year-old Ukrainian crew member who was found in critical condition due to the inclement weather. Responding quickly, paramedics arrived on board via helicopter at 1:40 AM on November 23, where unfortunately, they pronounced the crew member deceased. As a result of this unfortunate incident, the 'Alma' halted its journey from Rouen to Cuba and altered its course towards Brest to comply with necessary formalities.
