Working Conditions Aboard the Hony-Future

A tragic accident occurred aboard the cargo vessel 'Hony Future' when a crew member fell into the ship's cargo hold during tumultuous seas off the coast of Vietnam. This incident took place on February 29, 2016, at approximately 2 a.m., while the 'Hony Future' was navigating through rough conditions, about 150 nautical miles from Vung Tau Town, en route from Iran to Caofeidian. The perilous weather prompted two crew members, Ding Guandong and Yu Jiannan, to lose their footing and tumble into the hold. Sadly, Yu Jiannan succumbed to his injuries shortly after the fall, while Ding Guandong sustained critical injuries and required immediate medical attention, being evacuated to Vung Tau for emergency treatment.
