On November 10, 2025, a maritime incident occurred involving the ferry 'Horizon 9' and the product tanker 'La Digue' (IMO: 9448724). On October 3, 2024, the ferry 'Horizon 9' executed a remarkable rescue operation for three fishermen stranded after their boat sank in the Batu Berhenti waters, precisely located at coordinates 01°11.687 N 103°53.191 E. The distress signal was initially relayed by the fishing vessel 'Sindo 10' at around 3:50 p.m. local time. Quick to respond, the crew of the 'Horizon 9', which was in proximity, reached the site and successfully retrieved the fishermen by 3:56 p.m. Shortly after their rescue, the fishermen were transferred to the patrol ship KN 'Tanjung Datu' at 4:37 p.m., where they received critical medical attention.
