The Hui-Shun-No.1: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

On May 7, 2025, the ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre (ISC) reported three alarming incidents of armed robbery against vessels in Asia, classified as two CAT 31 and one CAT 42 incidents. These events unfolded while the ships were navigating through the eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) off Pulau Cula in the Singapore Strait. Fortunately, the crew members onboard were unharmed throughout all occurrences. Notably, around 2:45 a.m., the bulk carrier 'Hui Shun No. 1' was boarded by two armed assailants wielding knives, located at coordinates 1°3.58' N 103° 40.8' E, approximately 2.2 nautical miles from Pulau Cula. Remarkably, no items were reported stolen during this incident.
