On April 12, 2013, at 11:30 a.m., authorities in Haugesund sprang into action when a fire broke out aboard the 'Maan Dolphin,' a speed ferry en route from Bergen to Stavanger. The local fire department and police were alerted to the situation at Garpaskjærs Quayin, where the vessel was docking. Notably, the lifeboat 'Bergen Kreds' also responded to the emergency. At the time of the incident, there were approximately 40 passengers and five crew members onboard. The blaze originated in the engine room but was quickly extinguished, and, fortunately, there were no injuries reported among those aboard. On January 18, 2012, the ferry 'Maan Dolphin' collided with the ferry pier at Hufthamar, resulting in notable damage to the vessel's bow. Following the incident, the ferry was swiftly taken out of service to accommodate the incoming ferry from Krokeide. Fortunately, no passengers sustained injuries during the incident. In the aftermath, all passengers were promptly transferred to the speed ferry 'Tedno', which continued to transport them to Flesland and Bergen.
