Zamakona Yards Unveils New Tuna-Freezer Vessel Ízaro for Echebaster Group

On Saturday, January 18, the Echebaster Group proudly took delivery of their latest Tuna-Freezer vessel, named Ízaro, during a ceremonial inauguration held at the Maritime Cruise Station in Getxo, located in the Port of Bilbao. According to a press release from Zamakona Yards, the vessel boasts an impressive length of nearly 90 meters and is designed to accommodate a substantial volume of 1,900 m³ of fish, facilitated by its 20 onboard freezers. The Ízaro is equipped to house a dedicated crew of 42 members and can achieve a remarkable top speed of 18.2 knots. This event marks the inauguration of the first of a trio of Tuna-Freezer vessels that Zamakona Yards is set to deliver to the Bermean company by the close of next year.
