On July 2, 2020, the vessel 'Jade' experienced an allision while maneuvering to dock at berth no. 30 in the bustling port of Jeddah. During this operation, 'Jade' inadvertently collided with the bulk carrier 'Medi Fuji,' which was securely moored at berth no. 29. The collision resulted in damage to a mooring platform situated on the bow of the 'Jade,' particularly above the centerline Panama lead. In response to the incident, an ABS Class Surveyor visited the site on July 6, issuing recommendations for the repair of the affected area. The completion deadline for these repairs was set for October 25. After the incident, the 'Medi Fuji' departed Jeddah, setting sail on July 4 at 2:45 PM, bound for Kavkaz with an estimated arrival date of July 12. Meanwhile, the 'Jade' left the port on July 7 at 7:00 PM, embarking on a voyage to Mombasa, with an expected arrival on July 28.
