On either February 13 or 14, 2011, the freighter m/v Abou Karim (IMO: 7434949) sent out a distress signal after a collision with the fishing vessel Pianhiang 137. The incident occurred at coordinates 09° 55' N and 034° 30' W. Unfortunately, further details regarding the collision have not been released. It's noteworthy that there are two additional vessels bearing the Abou Karim name, but the m/v Abou Karim remains the focal point of this incident.
