At the time of the incident, the 'Jack Edwards' was inbound to Georgetown when it unexpectedly veered portside, colliding with the outbound 'Julie C' at coordinates 06°51.99’ N, 058°08.18’ W. Following the collision, the 'Jack Edwards' managed to make its way to Georgetown under its own power, while the 'Julie C' made a brief return to port before continuing its voyage as planned.
