The LNG bunker supply vessel, Kairos, operated by Nauticor, marked a historic milestone by successfully executing the inaugural LNG bunkering operation at the Södertälje port in Sweden. On September 12, 2023, the vessel delivered an impressive 150 tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the product tanker Ternsund, which is chartered by the Finnish fuel supply entity NEOT (North European Oil Trade). This event is significant not only as the first LNG bunkering in the port of Södertälje but also as a pioneering effort in the Baltic Sea, as it was conducted simultaneously while normal cargo operations were ongoing (referred to as SIMOPS). Nauticor's achievement showcases their commitment to advancing sustainable fuel solutions in the maritime industry.

On April 15, 2019, Nauticor made headlines as it commenced the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) via ship-to-ship operations for the Gothia Tanker Alliance. The operation marked a significant milestone with the world’s largest bunker supply vessel (BSV), the 'Kairos', successfully delivering LNG to the 'Fure Valö', a prominent member of the Gothia Tanker Alliance, at Sandhamn, located near Stockholm, Sweden. This marked the first-ever offshore ship-to-ship bunkering for the 117-meter-long BSV. The historic delivery was a result of an agreement signed in late 2018 between Furetank Rederi, part of the Gothia Tanker Alliance, and Nauticor, facilitating LNG supply to various product tankers. The agreement encompasses not only the 'Fure Valö' but also includes other vessels such as the retrofitted 'Fure West' and six additional newbuild vessels owned and operated by Gothia Tanker members, further enhancing their shift towards cleaner marine fuels.

On Thursday, Malaysia's prominent energy giant, Petronas, announced a significant milestone in its operations by delivering its inaugural liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo to a marine fuel vessel. This initiative is part of the company's commitment to comply with the upcoming regulations requiring vessels to transition to cleaner fuels by 2020. The cargo was successfully loaded onto Kairos, the world's largest LNG bunkering vessel, at the Regasification Terminal Pengerang (RGTP) in southeastern Johor. With a remarkable capacity of 7,500 cubic meters, Kairos made a strategic stop in Malaysia to refuel while en route from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in Ulsan, South Korea, to its next destination in Europe. This move by Petronas underscores its dedication to advancing sustainable maritime fuel options in line with environmental mandates.
