On the evening of December 23, 2024, the fishing trawler 'Kap Farvel' experienced a critical malfunction while navigating the Norwegian Sea and sent out a distress signal requesting assistance. The following day, on Christmas Eve, the Norwegian Coast Guard's patrol vessel 'Bison' responded promptly and took the troubled vessel in tow. The tow was executed smoothly, and 'Kap Farvel' safely arrived at the busy port of Tromsø on December 25, just in time for the holiday festivities. After its port call, on December 26, the ship was relocated to Båtbygg AS in Raudeberg, where it has remained stationary for repairs.
