Ex-German Pilot Cutter 'Kapitän König' Sets Sail from Rotterdam to Piraeus

The ex-German pilot cutter known as 'Kapitän König' embarked on a journey from Rotterdam on April 15, 2017, flying the Comoros flag and heading towards Piraeus. Originally replaced in 2010 by a modern SWATH pilot vessel, the 'Kapitän König' was left unused for several years before being sold in 2014 with plans to transform her into an expedition cruise ship. However, those plans never materialized, and the vessel was taken over by a Dutch broker last year. As of now, it appears that the former pilot cutter has been sold once again.
