On September 17, 2023, at 5:30 a.m., the product tanker 'Volgoneft 117' began transferring fuel from the stranded vessel 'Kapitan Permyakov'. The operation proved successful, and the tanker was refloated by 12:20 p.m. The 'Kapitan Permyakov' had encountered difficulties on September 12 at 11:00 p.m., running aground while attempting to anchor at the 3116.1 km mark of the River Don, with a cargo load of 4,294 tons of fuel onboard. In response to the emergency, the tug 'Priboy' was dispatched at 9:00 a.m. on September 13 to provide assistance, followed by the arrival of the tug 'RT-612' at 1:00 p.m., which initiated the refloating efforts.
