The skilled crew aboard the 'Kaptan Stavros' effectively managed to control the fire, with additional support from the Fire Service. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and the situation did not result in any marine pollution. As the Port Authority of Spetses continues its preliminary investigation, the vessel has been prohibited from departing until further notice.

On the morning of March 28, 2023, a maritime incident unfolded at the Port Authority of Salamina involving the ferry 'Dimitrios P'. The vessel, which was en route from Perama Megaridos to Faneromeni Salamina, was carrying 28 passengers and 16 vehicles when it encountered a steering system failure, leading to a collision with the moored ship 'Kaptan Stavros'. Furthermore, sailing for both ships has been suspended pending the issuance of a seaworthiness certificate from the designated classifiers responsible for monitoring compliance. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or signs of marine pollution in connection with this accident.
