The Kddi-Cable-Infinity: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

Colombo Dockyard PLC has proudly announced the delivery of an advanced Cable Laying Vessel to the esteemed Kokusai Cable Ship Co. Ltd. (KCS). This pioneering vessel marks a significant achievement as the first of its kind constructed by a Sri Lankan shipyard specifically for a Japanese client. After its departure from Colombo Dockyard, the KDDI Cable Infinity successfully docked at Yokohama port, Japan, on July 7, 2019. With impressive dimensions of 113.1 meters in length, 21.5 meters in breadth, and 8.8 meters in depth, the KDDI Cable Infinity stands as the largest vessel ever built by Colombo Dockyard. The vessel boasts a deadweight tonnage of 5,757 DWT and is designed to handle a maximum load laying draught of 7.1 meters. Comfort is a key feature, as it accommodates up to 80 crew members, all while maintaining a cruising speed of 14.5 knots.
