(MES-S) proudly announced the completion and delivery of the impressive 66,000 deadweight ton (dwt) bulk carrier MV KEDROS (Hull No. 1943) at its state-of-the-art Tamano Shipyard on June 14, 2018. This newly constructed vessel was handed over to KEDROS NAVIGATION SA, based in Liberia. The MV KEDROS boasts four strategically positioned cranes and five spacious cargo holds, enhancing its usability compared to the successful 56BC model. Engineered to exceed a deadweight capacity of 66,000 metric tons, the KEDROS offers a spacious volume of over 82,800 cubic meters, making it versatile for transporting a range of cargo types including coal, ore, grain, and even oversized items like steel pipes and hot coils. Remarkably, the fuel oil consumption of this bulk carrier is lower than that of traditional Supramax vessels, despite its larger size, showcasing MES-S's commitment to efficiency and sustainability in maritime shipping.
