Working Conditions Aboard the Kencana-Baruna

On January 26, 2016, a maritime incident occurred in Ijmuiden when the vessel "Golden Ruby" collided with the Hong Kong-flagged bulk carrier "Frontier Island" (IMO: 9573749). The collision took place at the Tate Steel Works on Outer Quay 2, where "Frontier Island" was docked. After setting sail from Port Calbot on January 23, the "Golden Ruby" arrived in Ijmuiden and struck the starboard side of the bulk carrier, resulting in visible damage above the waterline. Following the incident, the "Golden Ruby," which had previously departed from Eemshaven, managed to dock at Monnickendam Quay around 11 p.m., sustaining damage to its starboard side stern. The vessel resumed its journey on January 30 at 1:45 p.m., headed for Port Cartier.
