Kerkyra-Express Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On the morning of September 29, 2018, a maritime incident occurred in Corfu as the ferry 'Kerkyra Express' collided with the docked vessel 'Odysseas.' The 'Kerkyra Express' was en route from the port of Igoumenitsa, carrying 93 passengers and 27 vehicles at the time of the accident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and there was no marine pollution resulting from the allision. Both vessels sustained minor damages, with the 'Odysseas' reporting scratches on its port side bow approximately 2.5 meters above the waterline, while the 'Kerkyra Express' had similar scratches on its starboard side. Following the incident, the 'Odysseas' was temporarily detained until a seaworthiness certificate could be secured. Additionally, the captain of the 'Kerkyra Express' was arrested, and a preliminary investigation is currently being conducted by the Central Port Authority of Corfu.
