The victim, identified as Hardian, a resident of Gelogor Village, tragically passed away in the Intensive Care Unit at Tripat Regional General Hospital (RSUD) at 4:45 p.m. WITA on August 19. Hardian was admitted to the priority emergency unit due to severe respiratory failure, which he developed after nearly drowning amidst the chaos of the fire incident. Out of 24 passengers receiving medical treatment, he faced the most critical health challenges, primarily due to the substantial volume of seawater he had inhaled. This led to aspiration pneumonia and ultimately contributed to the development of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), a serious condition characterized by fluid accumulation in the lungs. While the medical team worked tirelessly to save him, the incident has left a heavy toll on the community. Currently, four individuals remain unaccounted for: Yasir Arafat, 37, from Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara; Selvina Rambu Mayi, 28, from Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara; I Made Sutarjana, 55, and Slamet Yulianto, 41, both from Denpasar. The ongoing search efforts and support for the victims' families continue in this time of mourning.

As of August 14, the search operation for five individuals still unaccounted for following the devastating blaze on the KMP 'Putri Yasmin' has now entered its third day. Authorities have ramped up their efforts by expanding the search area and mobilizing three Search and Rescue (SAR) units. These teams are currently executing both sea and aerial searches, with the rescue vessels KN 'SAR 220-Mataram' and 'KAL Lembar' being actively deployed by the Mataram SAR Office. To bolster the operation, a Finns SGi Air Bali helicopter has also been engaged for aerial reconnaissance. Following the fire incident, a total of 212 people were evacuated, which included 211 survivors and regrettably, one confirmed fatality. The mission remains ongoing as rescuers work diligently to find the missing.
