Kuai-Bang-Hai-18 Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On August 11, 2022, at approximately 09:30 a.m. local time, the bunker tanker '103 Dong Sung' experienced an allision with the bulk carrier 'Kuai Bang Hai 18' while navigating the outer anchorage of Busan. The tanker was en route to deliver bunker fuel when it lost control, resulting in a collision with the anchored bulk carrier. This unfortunate incident caused a breach in the hull of the 'Kuai Bang Hai 18,' specifically in the ballast tank area located about two meters above the waterline, leading to a significant leak of ballast water. Following the collision, the damaged bulk carrier made its way to the inner anchorage later that same afternoon, while the '103 Dong Sung' continued its journey to Ulsan.

On July 8, 2015, a crane accident at the Port of Galveston, Texas, resulted in injuries to four dock workers. The incident occurred while the bulk carrier 'Asia Zircon II' was in the process of unloading a hefty 60-tonne wind tower section. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the workers are not considered life-threatening. Currently, the 'Asia Zircon II' is engaged in the important task of transporting wind tower components from China.
